So pretty! I love the sand going right up to the mountains :) Great contrast.

It certainly is an incredible place. Those mtns block the sand from just going to nowhere and there is a stream that runs in between them that takes the sand back out to be deposited again. It's an awesome cycle! And thanks so much for the comment!

I love the light on the dunes, but think you went over the top with the sky. The colors look unreal to me.

I appreciate your honesty and yes the sky is a bit cyanish (sp). However, it was mid day but that's no excuse for a revisit on something I've noticed.

I've taken photos here before (not nearly as good as this) and I know how hard it is to really capture the "feeling" of the immensity of this place. You do a great job of finding places that make for good compositions. The designs in the sand, the shadows, the trees at the mid-line really help give it depth and of course the mountains with some "powered-sugar" type snow and the combo of clouds and blue sky, all come together to make this work. Your skills are noted and your work is appreciated. :)
