A long weekend of shooting in unfavorable conditions had Jasper and I soaked to the bone. Rain fell everyday we were out photographing, but with the rain, came mood.
Wonderful clouds poured over Red Peak and The Thorn as we approached along the Gore Range Trail. This being our primary destination for the area, the lake did not disappoint.
Layered in lilly pads, the new growth formed a unique contrast to the devastating beetle kill surround the area.
Even though we were wet and cold, the shots were fun to scan through once in my warm apartment.
'the shots were fun once in my warm apartment' XD lol well that's why you do it right? for the awesome pictures! I find the clouds in the background very intimidating as they roll over the mountains i find that a very cool contrast against the quiet water ^^ good shot!
Thank you! Yeah, those clouds ended up raining on dog and I for the rest of the evening. But for a while, it wasn't all too bad! Just thank goodness for a poncho.
