After a very long hiatus of being a father before a photographer, I finally was able to take a vacation to Glacier National Park with a friend, Ryan White.

With this being my first landscape in almost a year, I present this photo, a teaser of what is to come.

Glacier is a beast I wish I could spend the rest of my life taming.  And, for seven days, Ryan and I certainly tried.  Being up before dawn for sunrise shots every morning, and up until we could see the Milky Way every night, we didn't let any opportunities slip between our fingers.  Shoot, we even met Joe Rossbach.

On this occasion, we found ourselves continually obsessing over a shot of some waterfalls taken by Ryan Dyar.  Just the area in itself was amazing and needed exploring.  So, we decided to go for a little hike.  We muddled around in the area of the shot, but decided to see what the higher elevation looked like since the Bear Grass was in full blossom.

Just below the pass, the bear grass was everywhere.  However, there was a snow flat creating a wonderful stream running right down the middle of the valley.  With a second burst of color, I quickly made my way to another shot I had mapped out for just this occasion.

The second burst of color was a wicked awesome "Welcome to Glacier" moment and a cherry on top to a perfect day.
