Crowned in Glory by Jacob-Routzahn Crowned in Glory by Jacob-Routzahn
Just 500 yards down from camp stood this immense chiseled wall of rock and a wonderful aspen stand.

At first glance, the magnificent ridge line of pinnacles took my breathe away. While a few other photographers shot this areas when there was plenty of light pouring over the face and trees, I sat patiently. I made the decision to wait it out until the last bit of light crowned the peaks with color, giving it that extra something.

So very beautiful!!  The chiseled wall of rock looks looks a castle, a mighty big castle!  And the sunlit tops of the peaks is a wonderful touch that compliments the aspens.

Thank you for the wonderful comment!  And I'm glad that you noticed the sunlit peaks!  All the other photogs that were there took off when the sun was getting low down and dirty.  So I stuck around till the end.  I think as far as cloudless photos I've taken, this may be one of my favorites!

No problem, it really is an absolutely gorgeous shot. Yeah, I've been shooting exclusively film for the last two and a half years. It's a challenge, but it's been fun so far.
