Carve by Jacob-Routzahn Carve by Jacob-Routzahn

Lately production hasn't necessarily been good on my end when it comes to new photographs. It seems that being a papa, summiting mountains, new jobs for the wife and I, and the fact that my editing hasn't met my own extreme standards as of the late means no pics. So by forcing myself to carve out a little time in the evenings here and there, over the course of literally four to five weeks, I've finally been able to get a photo completed. I've also spent some time trying to redevelop my post edit work over the past few months. I hope it continues to head in a direction that I can finally put what's in my mind onto paper. Then frame it, hang it, and sit back and enjoy it.

If you find yourself saying, "I've seen this shot before" it's true. This is most definitely a re-edit, but one that I felt I didn't even come close to doing justice the first go around. In such a beautiful part of the country, to fall so short of what I felt, I had to spend the time necessary to do my best.

The area in which I shot this is nothing short of unbelievable. Multiple mountains that are individually set apart from others, each having their own character. A plethora of streams and creeks that dissect the valley. Huge sweeping meadows carpeted with lush alpine wildflowers. All of it was too good to be true. If you ever find yourself looking to get away to some beautiful scenery, I couldn't recommend Glacier National Park more.

As of now however, I've got some sick kids waking up from a nap to take care of. Until next time.

First picture I see from you so I can't tell if I've seen it already. Definitely looks good. :)

Take care of your kids, your wife and yourself.
May they get well soon.
